SEO

/ˌɛs iː ˈoʊ/

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the practice of improving a website so that search engines like Google rank it higher for relevant queries, driving more organic (unpaid) traffic. It spans technical setup, content and reputation.

SEO is usually grouped into three areas: on-page (titles, headings, content, structured data), technical (crawlability, speed, mobile-friendliness, canonical URLs) and off-page (links and mentions from other trusted sites).

Why does it matter?

Most digital experiences begin with a search, so ranking well is often the difference between being found and being invisible. Good SEO also overlaps with good UX — fast, accessible, well-structured pages help users and search engines alike.

Unlike ads, organic ranking compounds over time, which makes SEO one of the most durable sources of traffic a product can build.
